Contractor Obligations

Conditions the General Contractor/Construction Manager must follow upon receipt of this directive.

The Contractor shall proceed with the directed work immediately upon receipt of this directive, regardless of whether agreement has been reached on cost or time.
The Contractor shall maintain detailed daily records of all labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs associated with the directed work, including time and material tickets where applicable.
The Contractor shall notify the Owner/Architect promptly of any conditions that materially affect the scope, cost, or schedule of the directed work as it proceeds.
The Contractor shall submit a detailed cost and schedule proposal for the directed work within the time specified below, for negotiation of a formal Change Order.

Conditions of Authorization. This Construction Change Directive authorizes the Contractor to proceed with the directed work described herein without prior agreement on cost or time. Acknowledgment of this directive does not constitute agreement with the estimated cost, schedule impact, or method of determining final cost stated above. A formal Change Order incorporating the negotiated cost and time impact shall follow. This directive does not waive either party's rights under the Contract Agreement regarding disputed costs or time.
